The Scottish Financial Risk Academy is an industry-academic partnership dedicated to improving the understanding of financial risk through a series of knowledge exchange activities. These include the flagship biannual Risk Colloquium series, training workshops for industry practitioners, student placements, industry-led teaching on university courses and a visiting scholar programme.
Founded in 2010 by a consortium led by Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh the SFRA is now fully supported by member companies and universities. Membership is open to any financial services company or university with links to Scotland.
The 8th Colloquium will take place on 4 November 2014. It will address the theme of "Making Regulation Effective". Check back for more details soon.

University examination boards have taken place and students matched to industry projects received approval to proceed to the dissertation stage of MSc programmes. Projects have now commenced.
